My parents were staying at the Turnberry Hotel for a couple of days. One evening I sneaked in to join them for dinner. Every five minutes, however, I would jump up from the table and run outside to take pictures of Ailsa Craig as I could see the sky around it turning more and more purple.

Felt very lucky to find this shot. Everything came together - the position of the birds, the lines in the sea, the lines in the sky, how the rocks lead you towards Ailsa Craig. This is a very special part of the world.
